WILLEMSTAD - The traditional Fuikdag will be organized on Sunday 5 January. That means that many boat and water lovers will come together with their boat in Fuik to celebrate the new year.

Police, Coast Guard, Customs and the Red Cross work together with many other organizations to guarantee safety.

This weekend, all participants were encouraged to ensure that all participating boats comply with all safety regulations.

This is also why the emergency services warn participants before the Fuikdag. If a boat is caught without the proper documentation, it will be seized by the authorities.
