WILLEMSTAD - The ruling party MFK is not happy with the members of the coalition partner PNP, Gwendell Mercelina and Sheldry Osepa and has therefore requested an emergency meeting. This was announced by the party chairman Sithree van Heydoorn.
Mercelina and Osepa voted in favor of a motion tabled by the opposition during the refinery debate. This is much to the surprise of coalition partner MFK. Van Heydoorn says that these types of incidents have occurred more often with the same party members. With an emergency meeting, the MFK hopes that all noses within the coalition will move in the same direction again.
The MFK party held a meeting in Lam Yuen on Monday after the parliament meeting and then decided to contact the PNP party chairman for an emergency meeting on Tuesday.
