WILLEMSTAD - Golden Oldies, an elderly care facility, received a routine inspection visit due to some issues not being in order within the institution. The Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature (GMN) announced this through a press release.
The healthcare facility underwent a combined investigation by the Inspection for Public Health and Medical and Health Affairs, which revealed that the hygiene regulations in the kitchen, as well as those for care and the terrace, were not up to standard. In some areas of Golden Oldies, the lighting was also insufficient.
The care facility has been informed of all the points that need to be addressed, such as improved hygiene care, a cleaning schedule, kitchen renovation, and a tidy terrace. Additionally, the facility must install enough support rails in various places according to legal requirements.
The GMN ministry has not disclosed the timeframe for the care facility to address the issues or when the next inspection will take place.
