WILLEMSTAD – Students from The Hague University of Applied Sciences' minor program in Kingdom Affairs have arrived in Curaçao for an intensive study tour across the ABC islands. The visit marks the conclusion of a five-month educational program under the Faculty of Governance, Law, and Security.
Led by Marcel Daniels, founder of the minor, the program combines theoretical and practical learning about cooperation within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. During their time on Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, students will meet with influential leaders and visit organizations to discuss critical themes such as governance and socioeconomic challenges.
On Curaçao, the students' itinerary includes visits to Parliament, cultural excursions, and discussions with local officials. Similar activities are planned for Aruba and Bonaire. These interactions aim to strengthen ties between the islands and the Netherlands while providing students with insights into the unique dynamics of the Kingdom.
The study tour, which runs until January 30, serves as a preparatory experience for students considering a career within the Kingdom. "This program offers a rare opportunity to explore culture, collaboration, and future opportunities within the Kingdom," said Daniels.
Through this educational exchange, the students gain firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities faced by the islands, fostering deeper connections and understanding between the regions.
