WILLEMSTAD – The service desk of the Representation of the Netherlands (VNW) in Curaçao will temporarily operate from a new location starting July 3. The office is now housed at Hoogstraat 20–22, in the building of The Triangle Curaçao in Otrobanda.
The relocation was prompted by mold growth and poor air quality in the previous premises, which was housed in the historic former residence of resistance hero George Maduro. Health concerns stemming from these conditions led to the decision to move the office temporarily.
By Appointment Only
The VNW service desk is accessible by appointment for specific services, including the collection of DigiD activation codes, obtaining a stamp for an Attestatie de vita (proof of life certificate), and applying for the Dutch electronic identity card (eNIK).
For consular inquiries, appointments can be made via email or phone.
The VNW plans to move to a permanent new location in the coming months and is currently preparing the future building to accommodate its operations. Further details will be shared later this year.
