Dutch Parliamentary Committee plans visit to ABC islands

Local | By Correspondent December 13, 2024

THE HAGUE - The Dutch House of Representatives’ Committee for Kingdom Relations has expressed its intent to reschedule a working visit to Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. The trip was originally planned for early January but was canceled after the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IpKo) on Aruba was called off.

The committee had considered hosting the summer edition of IpKo in Bonaire, allowing the visit to the ABC Islands to be combined with the event. However, it was ultimately decided to hold the IpKo from June 19 to 21 in The Hague.

A new date for the visit to the ABC Islands has yet to be determined. Earlier this year, the committee conducted an introductory visit to Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius, and Saba.

This upcoming visit aims to strengthen relationships and enhance collaboration between the Netherlands and the Caribbean islands within the Kingdom. Further details about the trip and its agenda are expected to be announced soon.
