THE HAGUE – The Dutch House of Representatives does not seem to care what the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom and Suriname think of the response of the Rutte cabinet to the report of the Slavery Past Dialogue Group.
The House will not await the discussions in the parliaments of Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten and Suriname and the island councils of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, but will join Rutte and Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Bruins Slot in the debate on the expressed apologies on 19 December for the Dutch slavery past and the awareness fund to be set up.
