THE HAGUE - The Second Chamber Committee on Kingdom Relations is demanding that Secretary of State Van Huffelen publicly release important documents related to the Ennia scandal today.
A request made by committee member Joba van den Berg of the CDA party received support from VVD, D66, CDA, SP, GroenLinks, Partij voor de Dieren, BBB, and Volt. Other factions have not responded.
Van Huffelen is now required to submit the negative advice from the Financial Supervision Committee (Cft) regarding the 600 million euro loan to rescue Ennia's pension fund to Parliament, along with another confidential letter from the Cft on the matter.
On Wednesday, the committee will debate with Van Huffelen about the refinancing of the COVID loans, but the Ennia loan will undoubtedly play a prominent role in the discussion.
