THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - The Dutch government is set to scrutinize the ENNIA solution and evaluate the agreement in the coming weeks. State Secretary Alexandra van Huffelen of Kingdom Relations expressed her hope that experts could provide an indication of the agreement's feasibility within a few weeks. The state secretary conveyed this information during an online press conference. 

"Dutch experts will assess the agreement. This will be done as quickly as possible to decide whether the agreement receives approval from the Dutch government," stated Van Huffelen. 

On December 15, the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS), together with the governments of Curaçao and Sint Maarten, reached an agreement on resolving issues with ENNIA. Last week, it was revealed that the Financial Supervision College (Cft) also gave the government the green light to proceed with the current Ennia solution on the table. 

As part of the solution, Curaçao is required to allocate a significant amount in the budget for the next thirty years. However, the Cft acknowledges risks associated with this budget reservation. It is now up to Dutch experts to reevaluate the solution for the insurer.
