WILLEMSTAD - The Dutch Caribbean Air Navigation Service Provider (DC-ANSP) is set to invest approximately $14 million in the construction and outfitting of a new building adjacent to its current facility in Seru Mahuma. Director Micilia Albertus-Verboom announced that this expansion is necessary to accommodate a new air traffic control system, requiring a larger space. The new building will expand, not replace, the existing premises.
The construction permit was granted to DC-ANSP yesterday by the Minister of Traffic and Transportation Charles Cooper. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025, with the new facility expected to be completed and operational by 2026. The investment will be financed through a combination of internal funds and borrowed capital.
