Dream Rides Curaçao collected ANG. 102.373,00 for Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao Foundation

Local | By Press release November 21, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - On June 24th, the Curaçao resident Gerd Glaudemans and the DreamRides Netherlands team started the incredible bike ride of a total of 822 kilometers and approximately 20,000 meters of incline over various mountains and passed cities through the Swiss and French Alps.

With this fantastic effort, Gerd and his team wanted to raise awareness and collect money for a childhood cancer fund, a special initiative within the Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao Foundation. It was an extremely difficult journey that takes courage, sacrifices, and intense suffering.

But at those moments, they realized how frightening it could be for our little patients, who fight for their lives on a daily basis.

With a grateful heart, Gerd Glaudemans handed over a cheque of ANG. 102.373,00 to the team of Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao Foundation. This amount is available for supporting our kids with cancer and their family members.

This impressive result was made possible because of the initiative of Gerd Glaudemans and DreamRides Netherlands. Also, DreamRides contributed with Lions Club at ‘Art X’ to make the auction of the bicycle and other sports items possible. Farouk de Windt, who bought the bike in an auction and donated this back to Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao Foundation. In addition, a special thanks to Lions Club and ‘Art X’, which contributed with a total of ANG. 14.000,00 and all donors who embraced this project, made this milestone possible.
