WILLEMSTAD - Recently, Dr. Natasha Rog joined Laboratorio de Medicos (LABdeMED), where she will strengthen the team’s efforts to provide robust support to the laboratory's patients and primary care services. With her extensive knowledge and years of experience in both medical practice and management, Dr. Rog enhances LabdeMed's ongoing commitment to offering services that improve the health of the community. Celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, LABdeMED aims to continue being an innovative institution focused on meeting the needs of its people.

Dr. Natasha Rog brings over 20 years of experience as a physician, alongside substantial knowledge and expertise in healthcare management. Most recently, she served as the head of the Board of Directors at Stichting Verpleeghuizen Curaçao, where she was instrumental in elevating the standard of care in nursing homes to meet contemporary demands. Her accomplishments there include the successful introduction of short-term care, which encompasses reactivating patients and providing hospital care outside of the hospital setting. Dr. Rog’s expertise will be invaluable to LabdeMed's ambition to enhance healthcare services, particularly in the realm of prevention, on the island. Notably, Dr. Rog will continue to see her patients as she always has in her practice.
It is increasingly evident that prevention is crucial to ensuring the health of a thriving community. Strengthening primary care in Curaçao is essential to prevent people from needing specialized care unnecessarily, which should be reserved for those who genuinely require it. By fortifying primary care, we can promote prevention, enhance the quality of life, and avoid complications that necessitate specialized treatment. LABdeMED, as an institution that has always been close to its community, continuously evolves to serve and contribute to the better health of the community.
