WILLEMSTAD – On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the Director of Consular and Visa Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jeroen Roodenburg, paid a working visit to the Governor of Curaçao, Mauritsz de Kort. Roodenburg was accompanied by Karen Zijlstra, advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, Roodenburg and the Governor discussed the policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding consular and visa matters within the Kingdom, as well as current developments related to these issues.
The visit formed part of ongoing consultations between the Kingdom partners on consular services and visa policy, which are of importance to residents of the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom and to international travelers.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on cooperation and coordination in the field of consular affairs, against the backdrop of evolving international and regional circumstances.
