WILLEMSTAD - Digicel's fiber optic network is becoming available to more and more people in Curaçao. More neighborhoods will soon be connected to the network.
With fiber optic data is sent via a thin wire with flashing light signals. The network provides a much faster and more stable internet. The speeds vary between 200 and 600 Mpbs. The telecom provider moved into the neighborhoods to promote their internet. Residents received a free ice cream to cool off.
