WILLEMSTAD - Restaurant Denny's fell victim to an assault (atrako) three weeks after opening. The robbery took place early Monday morning.
The chain opened its doors in Curaçao on December 15 with a building on Caracasbaaiweg. Montaña police received a report of two men entering the building. The robbers threatened the staff and took a cash drawer with money.
The robbers probably waited until the restaurant was about to open at 6 a.m. The police have the case under investigation.
Starting Thursday, Denny's will be open from 7 a.m. to midnight. The company is abandoning the 24-hour concept for the time being.
