WILLEMSTAD – A delegation from Deloitte Dutch Caribbean and the Netherlands paid a visit on Friday, February 6, 2026, to the Governor of Curaçao, Mauritsz de Kort.
Representing Deloitte Dutch Caribbean and the Netherlands were Julian Lopez Ramirez, Senior Partner Deloitte Dutch Caribbean; Michael-Leo van Romondt, Deloitte Dutch Caribbean; Jamie Gatt, Deloitte Dutch Caribbean; Wilhelmus Gooskens, Partner Deloitte Netherlands; and Sjoerd van der Smissen, Partner Deloitte Netherlands.
The Deloitte delegation was accompanied by Rob Bauer, former Admiral of the Royal Netherlands Navy and former Chair of the NATO Military Committee.
During the meeting, the Governor was briefed on efforts aimed at strengthening resilience and security within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Discussions also addressed major societal challenges, including food security, climate change and geopolitical developments related to Venezuela.
The exchange provided an opportunity to reflect on how public and private stakeholders can collaborate in addressing complex regional and global issues that have direct implications for Curaçao and the wider Kingdom.
