WILLEMSTAD - This afternoon, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Mr. Sithree van Heydoorn, handed over the first 10 air conditioners to the Board of Catholic Schools. In a symbolic gesture, the minister presented the first air conditioner remote to the principal of Santa Rosa de Lima School, which is the first school to receive an air conditioner from the 1 million guilders that the Minister made available to help during the hot season.
In total, the Catholic School Board will receive 187 air conditioners to distribute among the various schools under its administration. Additionally, the Minister of ESKD signed an agreement with the Stichting Onderhoud Scholen Curaçao (SOS), the organization responsible for monitoring the care and maintenance of the air conditioners.
