WILLEMSTAD – The deadline for mandatory UBO registration has been postponed. This was announced by Minister of Finance Javier Silvania (MFK).
Legal entities now have until September 30 to register their Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) with the Chamber of Commerce. The original deadline was set for July 1.
UBOs are natural persons who directly or indirectly hold 25% or more of the ownership or voting rights in a company, or who otherwise exercise control over an entity.
The UBO register is not public and can only be accessed by authorized authorities, ensuring privacy while promoting transparency in the fight against financial crimes.
