WILLEMSTAD - Dutch Caribbean Claims Expertise (DCCE) has announced that Curt Vinck will join their team as a property expert, effective January 1, 2025. Vinck will work alongside veteran Jos Dijk, who will share his extensive expertise gained over decades in the field. The expansion comes in response to the increasing demand from insurance companies for faster availability of experts to handle claims related to water, fire, or burglary damage. This need has grown alongside the rising workload from assignments through Crawford & Company.

DCCE expressed pride in welcoming Curt Vinck (b. 1979) to their team. As a property expert, Vinck will be responsible for reporting to insurers on damages caused by fire, water, or burglary. A Curaçao native, Vinck has completed his insurance training and brings diverse experience from other areas of the community.
Seasoned expert Jos Dijk, who has been with DCCE since its early days and wrote his first report in 1984, emphasized the importance of passing the torch to a new generation. “Times have changed, and it’s time for fresh talent. Over the next few years, I’ll guide Curt Vinck as he develops in this rewarding profession,” Dijk stated. Vinck shared his enthusiasm about joining DCCE, explaining that his decision followed careful consideration. “I spent a year discussing this career move with the team at DCCE, and now I’m ready to dive in!” he said.
DCCE Director Nanne Holtrop expressed satisfaction with the appointment, highlighting the rigorous requirements for property experts. “A good property expert needs to speak multiple languages, write clear and thorough reports, and demonstrate high integrity. Finding the right fit took time. When we learned that Curt Vinck was available, we worked hard to show him the full scope of this career. His commitment to taking on this role speaks to his character, and he’s a perfect fit for the DCCE team,” Holtrop said.
The addition of a full-time property expert addresses the insurance industry’s growing need for timely claims support across the ABC islands. With DCCE recently joining the Crawford & Company network, the workload has significantly increased. Holtrop concluded, “Curt Vinck is a tremendous asset. His expertise and personality will greatly enhance our ability to handle claims effectively now and in the future.”
