WILLEMSTAD - The daughter of 'Tyson' Quant, leader of the criminal organization No Limit Soldiers, is facing charges of involvement in money laundering and benefiting from her father's illegal earnings over several years.
Quant is recognized as one of the leaders of the No Limit Soldiers (NLS), a criminal group that originated as a street gang in the Koraalspecht neighborhood of Curaçao. Over time, NLS expanded its operations to Sint Maarten, the Netherlands, and other parts of the world.
The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has demanded a sentence of 180 hours of community service and two months of suspended imprisonment, with a probationary period of two years.
The daughter is accused of laundering criminal proceeds but is not suspected of active participation in the criminal organization. According to the OM, she had no independent income but benefited from her father's illegal money, using it to purchase luxury cars and fund her education in Canada and Curaçao.
The prosecution made it clear that no accusations are being made regarding her childhood, during which she may have unknowingly benefited from her father's illegal earnings.
