WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçaosch Museum has announced the opening of the solo exhibition “Pegasaya su tela” on Thursday, September 25, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the SNIP Gallery. The exhibition will run until Saturday, November 22, 2025.
The title refers to an interpretation of The Fool’s Journey from the tarot, reimagined through a feminine perspective. The works highlight the path of a human being who, like The Fool, dares to embrace the idea that every gain is inseparably linked to loss. According to the Curaçaosch Museum, “the inner reflects the outer.”
A Silent Revolution
In its press release, the museum describes the exhibition as a celebration of collective evolution toward a delicate yet powerful form of sovereignty, manifesting as a “silent revolution.”
Artist Alejandra Cijntje explores a vision in which all things exist in a state of deep interconnectedness. In a world still marked by the legacy of colonial history, she seeks a return to the “bodyweb”, which she approaches as a living archive. This ongoing dialogue, the museum notes, intertwines the tangible with the intangible, flowing through roots both visible and invisible.
