WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao’s national football team coach, Dick Advocaat, expressed optimism about the team’s chances of qualifying for the 2025 Gold Cup after their 1-0 victory over Grenada on Monday. The win, coupled with Saint Lucia's unexpected defeat by Sint Maarten, has put Curaçao in control of their destiny in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Advocaat highlighted the significance of the upcoming home matches, saying, “The win against Grenada was crucial, and with two more games to play here in Curaçao, we can secure qualification. If we win both, we’ll qualify for the Gold Cup. That would be fantastic,” said a hopeful Advocaat.

Curaçao’s next two matches in November against Saint Lucia and Sint Maarten will be decisive in their quest to secure a spot in the prestigious Gold Cup, set to be held in the United States.
