Curaçaoans arrested by Venezuelan maritime police

CARACAS, WILLEMSTAD - Information from Venezuela indicates that the maritime police, carrying out maritime patrolling 75 nautical miles from Tucacas, Falcón captured four Dutch nationals (from Curaçao) and one Venezuelan citizen, who were on board two (02) vessels “Alaika” and “Elsa Curaçao”. The reason for their arrest was being 10 nautical miles from Morrocoy National Park without any documentation, presuming that said vessels are used for the smuggling of Fuel, Cigars, Whiskey and the traffic of Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances. The people were identified as:

• Martinez Wolfang, Venezuelan nationality.

• Gonzalez Davidson Jason of Dutch nationality.

• Naoki Ashaninko Rodrigo of Dutch nationality.

• Evelio Juan Ezequiel of Dutch nationality.

• Genaro Antonio of Dutch nationality.

Likewise, they were transferred to the police headquarters in Tucacas for pending criminal investigations.
