Curaçaoan Delegation Attends Parlatino Meetings in Panama

WILLEMSTAD – Five members of the Parliament of Curaçao are currently in Panama City participating in meetings of Parlatino, the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament.

The delegation includes four members from the MFK party – Frenciss Lourens, Ishahier Monte, Rigoletto Thodé, and Shurendi Pieternella – and one from the PAR party, Quincy Girigorie.

The parliamentarians are taking part in two key Parlatino commissions. The first focuses on Public Safety, with specific discussions on the fight against drug trafficking, terrorism, and organized crime. The second commission addresses issues related to gender equality, children, and youth.

Parlatino serves as a regional forum that brings together lawmakers from Latin America and the Caribbean to discuss and coordinate policy on shared challenges such as security, development, and social justice.
