WILLEMSTAD – Children and teenagers across Curaçao are in for an exciting and active school break as Summer Games 2025, the island’s largest youth sports event, kicks off this month. The four-day event, which runs from Tuesday to Friday at Sentro Deportivo Kòrsou (SDK), is free of charge and open to participants aged 4 to 17 years old.
Organized by the Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Kòrsou (FDDK), the event offers a diverse program of sports, games, and educational activities, tailored to different age groups.
A Full Day of Fun and Learning
Morning sessions (08:00–12:00) are dedicated to children aged 4 to 12, featuring playful activities such as water polo, mountain biking, soccer, kayaking, and face painting. There will also be a live DJ and a special Kids Corner for added entertainment. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Afternoon sessions (13:00–17:00) cater to youths aged 13 to 17, who can compete in a series of team-based sports tournaments:

FIFA E-sports Tournament – July 18
Beyond Sports: Health, Safety, and Skills
In addition to athletic activities, the event also emphasizes health, safety, and personal development. Participants will be able to:

Join a dental care workshop hosted by the Ministry of Health (GMN)
Practice their public speaking skills in a training session provided by Toastmasters Club
FDDK says the goal of the Summer Games is to encourage an active lifestyle among youth and offer a healthy, social, and sports-filled vacation experience.
