WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao will give its national football team a hero’s welcome this afternoon with a large victory parade and festive program, following their historic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The team is scheduled to arrive at Hato Airport around midday.
The government-organized parade will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the airport and make its way through multiple neighborhoods in Willemstad before reaching the final destination at Waaigat, where thousands of supporters are expected to gather.

Festivities at Waaigat begin at 4:00 p.m. with a pre-show by DJ Argenis Huerta, followed at 5:00 p.m. by a performance from Grupo Oriri.

Performance of “Goodness of God” by Aemy “NiaFeliz”
Government leaders will then address the nation:
6:10 p.m. – Minister of Education, Science, Culture & Sports Sithree van Heydoorn
6:15 p.m. – Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas
Speeches by the Curaçao Football Federation and the technical staff
At 6:48 p.m., Amos Balentin will perform “We Are Curaçao”.
At 6:53 p.m., the national team will be officially honored.
To close out the night:
7:10 p.m. – Performance by Jeon with the hit “Blue Wave”
7:15 p.m. – Performance by ICONS

Supporters are urged to line the parade route and join the celebration at Waaigat to show their appreciation and pride for Selekshon, whose World Cup qualification has united and energized the entire island.
