Curaçao Sets Position for Kingdom Council of Ministers Meeting

WILLEMSTAD – The Council of Ministers has approved a set of instructions for Curaçao’s representative ahead of the upcoming Kingdom Council of Ministers meeting scheduled for March 6.

The instructions were issued to Curaçao’s Minister Plenipotentiary in The Hague and cover several international agreements and legislative proposals.

Among the topics to be discussed are a United Nations treaty concerning transparency in treaty-based arbitration between investors and states, as well as air services agreements between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Norway, Sweden and Denmark on behalf of Curaçao.

The agenda also includes a proposal for legislation concerning sustainable public finances for Aruba and a draft Kingdom Act related to delegation provisions under Article 38 of the Kingdom Charter.

The instructions were prepared by the Ministry of General Affairs.
