WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Red Cross has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the community for its generous response to a donation appeal aimed at easing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The organization opened a special account at Maduro Bank (#2004) between September 1 and 15, 2025, to collect contributions. The funds were directed through the Netherlands Red Cross to ensure they reach humanitarian relief efforts for the people of Gaza.

Thanks to the support of individuals, institutions, and companies across the island, the campaign raised a total of XCG 3,748.80, which will be transferred this week to the Netherlands Red Cross with the specific designation of humanitarian aid for Gaza.

“The situation in Gaza is extremely serious, and once again the Curaçao community has shown compassion and solidarity,” the Red Cross Curaçao said in a statement. “We sincerely thank every person, organization, and business that contributed.”
