WILLEMSTAD - The registration day for the biggest festival on the island, the Tumba Festival is now complete. No fewer than 59 tumba songs were registered for the 50th edition of this immensely popular event un Curaçao.

Chairman Manfred "Fecco" Gomez of the Curaçao Music and Artists Association announced that TeleCuraçao had taken into account 55 registrations and that the actual number had exceeded all his expectations.

Among the registrations are also old Tumba winners such as Farley Lourens, Ike Jesurun and Elia Isenia who return again this year. Rei di Tumba 2019 Dibo D is also present again this year.

The festival starts on Monday January 26, the final is on Friday January 31.
