WILLEMSTAD – The police have observed an increase in vehicle theft, particularly scooters, quads, and motorcycles, over the past few months. Especially during holiday periods and the carnival season, these vehicles appear to be more frequently targeted by thieves, according to the police.
It is noteworthy that these thefts mostly occur during the year-end holidays and the carnival season.
Owners of such vehicles are therefore specifically urged to take extra measures to protect their property. By implementing preventive measures, owners can make it more difficult and less attractive for thieves to steal their vehicles.
The police advise owners to secure their vehicles with adequate protection. This can include the use of approved locks, parking vehicles in safe and well-lit areas, and investing in anti-theft systems.
The increase in thefts of scooters, quads, and motorcycles is considered a concerning trend by the police. They emphasize the importance of awareness and precautions, especially during the holiday season and the carnival season.
