Local | By Correspondent September 7, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Police Force has acquired several new vehicles to better support its daily operational activities. These vehicles will not only be used for surveillance but are also intended for investigative units working on cases related to robberies, joyriding, and juvenile crime.

In addition to these vehicles, the police will receive a number of vehicles for neighborhood police stations, primarily for patrol and order maintenance duties. These vehicles will also be used by community officers collaborating with various agencies.

In the near future, a number of motorcycles will also be made available for patrolling. Furthermore, a fleet of buses will be provided for the transportation of personnel during large-scale events and for other necessary purposes.

The police will also receive other equipment, such as bulletproof vests and software to optimize administrative and operational functions. Additionally, various computers, iPads, and notebooks have been ordered for use by neighborhood officers.
