Curaçao police present on St Maarten during elections

PHILIPSBURG - Police officers from Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire are present on Sint Maarten during the elections to help their colleagues there.

More than 23,000 voters can go to the polls tomorrow. 111 candidates from seven parties compete for fifteen seats in parliament. Biggest voter in the last election, Theo Heyliger, does not participate.

The expectation is therefore that former Prime Minister William Marlin will once again be the highest vote-getter.
