WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao police force received a shipment of new vehicles yesterday, marking the initial delivery as part of an ongoing fleet expansion. Additional cars are expected to be added throughout the summer, according to the Ministry of Justice.

Some of the vehicles are specifically allocated to the border reinforcement department as part of the enhanced border control plan, which has received financial support from the Netherlands. Furthermore, several vehicles are being financed through the police force's own budget.
In addition to the new vehicles, motorcycles and bulletproof vests are also en route, funded by the crime-fighting fund. This comprehensive effort aims to equip the police with the necessary resources to enhance their operational capabilities.
