WILLEMSTAD - Members of Curaçao’s Parliament spent nearly 1.2 million guilders on international travel across 146 official trips during 2023 and 2024, according to a report from Amigoe.
Panama emerged as the most frequented destination, hosting delegates for 79 trips primarily tied to the Parlatino parliament. In 2023, travel expenses amounted to 550,344 guilders, while 2024 saw an increase, with 630,009 guilders spent so far—exceeding the original budget of 595,000 guilders for the year.
The budget for parliamentary travel in 2025 has been raised once again, this time to 600,000 guilders.
