Curaçao National Football Team Sets Dates for Final World Cup Qualifiers

WILLEMSTAD The Curaçao national football team will play its final World Cup qualifying matches in September, October, and November. The Curaçao Football Federation (FFK) announced the match dates yesterday for the decisive last round. 

Curaçao will open on September 5 with an away game against Trinidad & Tobago. Four days later, on September 9, the team will play its first home match against Bermuda at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad. 

Three Home Matches in Willemstad 
In October, Curaçao will host two home matches: October 10 against Jamaica and October 14 against Trinidad & Tobago. The qualification campaign will conclude in November with two away matches: November 13 against Bermuda and November 18 against Jamaica. 

Stadium Capacity Expanded 
For the three home games, the FFK expects up to 10,000 spectators per match. The stadium will undergo modifications to accommodate more fans. In addition to the regular sections A to F, extra seating will be added. Passionate supporters around Brenton Balentien will have their own dedicated section called Liga Blowi. The VIP section will be split into VIP and VIP+. 

Viewing Party for First Away Game 
For the opening match on September 5, the FFK, in collaboration with Liga Blowi, will host a public viewing event at Wilhelmina Plein. The square will be transformed into a stadium atmosphere, allowing fans to watch the away game against Trinidad & Tobago together.
