WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) has announced the appointment of Lorraine Diaoen as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective February 4.
In her role as interim CFO, Diaoen will be responsible for the hospital’s financial strategy and overall financial performance. In addition to her financial responsibilities, she will oversee several key operational departments, including Information and Communication Technology (ICT), facilities management, capacity planning, procurement, and logistics.
According to CMC, Diaoen brings more than 25 years of international experience in finance, audit, and senior leadership roles across multiple sectors, including financial services, retail, fast-moving consumer goods, and maritime services. She is known for strengthening financial governance, optimizing business processes, and translating financial insights into practical and strategic decision-making.
Prior to her appointment at CMC, Diaoen served as Associate Director FP&A at Kao Business Services B.V., where she played a key role in restructuring finance teams and improving budgeting and cash flow management during periods of organizational change.
Diaoen is a Registered Accountant (RA) and holds a master’s degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. She began her academic career in Curaçao, earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Curaçao.
CMC stated that the interim appointment is intended to ensure continuity in financial leadership and expressed confidence in Diaoen’s contribution during this important phase in the continued development of the hospital and Curaçao’s healthcare system.
