WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao presented and positioned Digital Hub Americas as a catalyst for technological digital development in the Caribbean islands during the annual conference of the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunication Organizations (CANTO) held in Miami, Florida. Minister of Traffic, Transportation, and Urban Development, Charles Cooper, expressed during his intervention at the CANTO 2022 annual conference that Curaçao would work towards and bring forth a proposition that would make a substantial contribution to the development of the Caribbean in the modern digital technological world. This year, Curaçao fulfilled its promise.

Digital Hub Americas (DHA) is an effort where both governmental entities and private sector organizations in Curaçao have come together under a single brand, Digital Hub Americas, to purely serve the needs of countries in the Caribbean to advance in the digital technological world, allowing them to reap economic and social benefits. In a unique collaboration, Minister Cooper and Minister Cijntje of Economic Development jointly presented the launch of DHA at the CANTO conference.
Digital Hub Americas is an innovative initiative aimed at creating collaboration and interconnectivity that is active in the digital field in Curaçao. Its goal is to co-create local products and services and offer them in the international market. It serves as a brand that unifies the efforts of the sector in a way that stimulates innovation, co-creation, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and economic development.
By doing this, DHA positions Curaçao as an excellent digital hub that stimulates economic development, creates jobs, and supports the overall development of our society. It creates space for a vibrant ecosystem where small businesses and startups can progress through these advancements in the digital economy in Curaçao.
Our unique combination of a single destination with globally knowledgeable professionals, a well-connected Tier 4 Data Center, our location in the hurricane-free zone, and the fact that we fall under the European judicial system make it possible for Curaçao to have a unique proposition in the world through DHA.
The entities that form the foundation of DHA include the Bureau Telecommunucatie en Post, Blue Nap Americas, CINEX, Chamber of Commerce, Curaçao International Financial Center, Institute for Professional Excellence, Curaçao Fintech, and SIMIA. These entities have laid the foundation for an economic pillar that has been identified in Curaçao's Strategy for Economic Development for several years.
