Curaçao International Sports Week 2024

WILLEMSTAD - The Fundashon Desaroyo Deportivo Kòrsou (FDDK) is thrilled to announce the upcoming Curaçao International Sports Week 2024, scheduled for November 16-23, 2024. This year’s event marks the second edition and will feature two days of conferences on November 18 and 19, alongside a week packed with exciting sports activities suitable for participants of all ages. 

Among the keynote speakers will be Churandy Martina, a celebrated athlete from Curaçao, known for his historic achievements in athletics, including being the first athlete from the island to win an Olympic medal. His inspiring journey continues to motivate young athletes worldwide. Additionally, Kenley Jansen will be present to engage with and encourage local youth. 

During the press conference, Mr. Vergilly Winklar, Director of FDDK, expressed, “The second edition of the Curaçao International Sports Week is a testament to our commitment to promoting sports within our community. Our goal is to inspire the next generation in the realm of sports.” 

Representatives from Vellit and LabdeMed also shared their enthusiasm for the event. A spokesperson from Vellit remarked, “This week provides a fantastic opportunity for all of us to unite and enhance our sports and physical activities.” Meanwhile, a LabdeMed representative emphasized, “Health and well-being are essential components of sports. We are excited to be part of this initiative that promotes an active lifestyle.” 

Participants can anticipate a wide range of sports activities and community events throughout the week, all designed to encourage an active lifestyle and celebrate the unifying power of sports. Join us for a week of sports filled with excitement!
