WILLEMSTAD – Yesterday, the students of the Curaçao International School captivated a packed auditorium at the World Trade Center (WTC) with a vibrant and imaginative musical play based on the classic tale of the Pied Piper.

Set in a medieval town overrun by rats, the story followed the mysterious piper who used his magical flute to rid the village of its pest problem. However, when the town’s mayor failed to honor the agreed payment for his services, the piper returned and enchanted the children, freezing them in place with his haunting melody. In a dramatic turn, the townspeople demanded that the mayor pay the full amount owed to bring the children back.
The performance was met with resounding applause from the audience, who were clearly impressed by the students’ acting, singing, and storytelling skills. The production showcased not only the talent and creativity of the young performers but also the dedication of the school’s faculty and staff in organizing such a memorable event.
It was a wonderful evening filled with music, drama, and powerful lessons, proving once again the incredible potential of Curaçao’s young minds.
