Curaçao ignores Cft recommendations

WILLEMSTAD - The Pisas cabinet has not followed up on a large number of recommendations made by the Financial Supervision Board (Cft) in response to the draft budget for this year. The budget that has since been adopted therefore does not meet the requirements, the Cft concluded in a letter to Minister of Finance Javier Silvania.

“The Cft is concerned about the management of costs, in particular personnel costs and the post of goods and services. “You indicate that you will investigate the options for reduction, but that the implementation of the government program and the National Package will entail the necessary costs,” says the Cft in their letter.

The Cft emphasizes the importance of controlling the burden at all ministries.
