WILLEMSTAD - The International Medical Conference Curaçao (IMCC) 2025 officially opened this Tuesday November 2025 at the Renaissance Wind Creek Resort, by Minister R. Middelhof, speaking in his unique triple capacity as Minister of Economic Development, Acting Minister of Public Health, and medical doctor.

Yesterday’s elegant welcome reception brought together an impressive gathering of local and international speakers, delegates, sponsors, and partners. The event marks a historic milestone: Curaçao’s first time hosting an international medical conference with such an exceptional roster of experts, all addressing diverse subjects united under a powerful theme—transforming lives through inclusive rehabilitation.
This morning, Minister Middelhof emphasized the deeper significance of this moment in his opening remarks: “This conference is the result of a vision born right here in Curaçao—a vision championed by the Curaçao Dolphin Therapy & Research Center, now celebrating 20 years of transformative service to families from across the globe.”
The Government of Curaçao has expressed support for the IMCC, aligning it closely with the nation’s long-term development priorities. Through its National Export Strategy, the government has placed two strategic pillars at the forefront of its agenda:
• Medical & Wellness Tourism
• Education Services
These focus areas reinforce Curaçao’s ambition to strengthen its global reputation as a destination known for:
• Specialized medical services
• Rehabilitation and chronic care
• Integrated therapeutic tourism
• Wellness and complementary therapies
• High-level professional training and academic excellence
By convening global expertise and encouraging cross-sector collaboration, the IMCC 2025 serves as a catalyst for advancing these national goals. It highlights Curaçao’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and inclusive care while expanding the island’s visibility and influence on the world stage.
