WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao’s hospital sector will fall under a Kingdom-wide independent audit as part of funding arrangements for the Dutch Caribbean Hospital Alliance (DCHA) .
A remaining tranche of €274,175 will be transferred to DCHA, with 5% reserved for an independent audit beginning in Q2 2026.
The audit will:
- Verify use of public funds
- Evaluate governance processes
- Assess unmet objectives
- Provide future reform recommendations
For Curaçao, whose hospital system remains financially fragile, the audit could influence future funding structures and regional cooperation models.
