WILLEMSTAD - The propane gas shortage in Curaçao is over. The island has been struggling with a shortage since the beginning of last week, but the filling stations have been supplied again since Saturday.
The ship that delivered the gas ran into problems and therefore did not arrive on time. Curgas said at the beginning of the week that it could not meet the demand. The government company later said it expected the gas on Friday.
The filling stations were indeed open again on Saturday and long lines formed. The small gas cylinders can be refilled at the filling stations of Santa Rosa, Muizenberg and Tera Cora.
All locations are open non-stop between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
