WILLEMSTAD - In a bid to prioritize patient care, the Curaçao General Practitioners Association (CHV) is pushing for greater collaboration with the General Practitioner Out-of-Hours Service (HAP), despite its reluctance to interfere in the latter's operations. CHV emphasizes that its aim is solely to explore avenues to complement HAP's services. Among the key discussion points for CHV is the communication protocol during the transition from daytime to evening shifts for general practitioners. The association underscores the importance of open dialogue and mutual awareness between both entities to effectively address patient needs.
Over eighty general practitioners have already committed to contracts ensuring their patients' access to evening, night, and weekend care through HAP. "Therefore, it is crucial to align professional collaboration and keep each other informed of emerging situations," CHV emphasized.
