WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Council of Ministers has approved the official profile requirements for members of the Supervisory and Advisory Board of the National Lottery (Landsloterij), following recommendations from the government's corporate governance advisory body.

According to the government, the approval follows advice issued by Stichting Bureau Toezicht en Normering Overheidsentiteiten (SBTNO), the institution responsible for advising on corporate governance standards within government-related entities.
The decision falls under the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (OWCS).
The approved profiles establish the criteria to be used when assessing candidates for positions on the National Lottery's Supervisory and Advisory Board.
Such profiles generally serve as a framework for determining the qualifications, experience and competencies expected of prospective board members.
By adopting the profiles in accordance with SBTNO's advice, the Council of Ministers has completed a formal step in the governance process for the National Lottery.
The government's announcement did not provide details about the specific qualifications included in the approved profiles or indicate whether appointments to the board are currently pending.
No names of prospective board members were announced.
The decision concerns the establishment of the board's profile requirements rather than the appointment of individual members.
