WILLEMSTAD – The elections in Curaçao are taking place without significant incidents, according to an update provided this afternoon by the Chairman of the Electoral Council. By 4:00 PM, 52,255 people had cast their votes, representing 46.75% of the total eligible voters.
The police reported no major incidents, aside from some traffic accidents in the past few hours. The only issue reported was a car playing loud music near polling station 80, as confirmed by police spokesperson Maurits Rosalina.
The smooth operation of the elections thus far reflects the effective management of the process, with authorities ensuring minimal disruptions. Voter turnout is expected to increase as the day progresses.
