WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao's national soccer team has seen a decline in the FIFA rankings, currently occupying the 90th position. Under the guidance of the interim head coach, the team suffered two losses this month, leading to a drop of two places in the rankings.
The highest-ever ranking achieved by Curaçao was 68th, which was back in 2015. The Curaçao Soccer Federation (FFK) remains hopeful of making a bid for the 2026 World Cup, but achieving that goal necessitates the appointment of a capable head coach. Earlier speculations suggested that Dick Advocaat might be in discussions with Curaçao, and the coach is expected to provide clarity on the matter before Monday.
