WILLEMSTAD – From February 19 to 21, 2025, the 48th CARICOM Heads of Government Conference is taking place in Barbados.
Over the past two days, various presentations have been delivered by innovative technology companies, along with discussions involving Caribbean leaders and the international community.

Key topics addressed include climate change, food security, crime and safety, the situation in Haiti, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, regional connectivity, geopolitical developments, and collaborations with various international and European financial institutions. These discussions are crucial for the positive development of the Caribbean region, including Curaçao as a CARICOM member state.
CARICOM Chair and Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, emphasized that under the theme “Strength in Unity: Forging Caribbean Resilience, Inclusive Growth, and Sustainable Development,” strengthening regional unity and promoting inclusive growth and sustainable development are essential for a better future.
With two days remaining before the conference concludes, discussions will continue on these critical issues shaping the future of the Caribbean.
