Curaçao could face another financial measure from the Kingdom

THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao again could face another financial instruction from the Kingdom Council of Ministers in The Hague. The government budget for 2017 and 2018 did not comply with the Kingdom Act, the 2019 budget also has a deficit of 20 million guilders.

That has to be paid in 2020, but the Financial Supervision Board (CFT) does not see this reflected in the answers and plans of the Ministry of Finance.

The latter has until 19 March to rectify the matter, otherwise the Cft advises The Hague to intervene again.
