WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao will cancel all flights to and from the Netherlands due to the new corona virus. Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath announced this during a press conference on Friday morning (local time).

Until now there were at least two flights to Curaçao every day. Flights from other places in Europe are also suspended, like the ones from Germany.

According to Rhuggenaath, this is the best way to protect the people of Curaçao against corona infections. On Friday, the first infection of a person with the corona virus on the island was confirmed.
